The volunteers of the non profit East End House have dedicated their diversified and heart filled services to the families and industries of East Cambridge for more than 130 years now. Since 1875, the actions, events and efforts of the East End house reflect the establishment's commitment of continuing to be a multi service community center, welcoming all those who enter. With a common motivation and mission to strengthen the individuals, families, businesses and institutions of Greater Boston, East End House has engaged in a variety of charities and programs, including their recent effort called "Connecting schools with Afterschool programs" of 2005 which received national accreditation, Cambridge's first. More recently, in 2007, East End House received the honor of being appointed Greater Boston's Food Bank Partner Agency of the Year.
